Energy Ministry says prepares new steps to stabilize fuel prices
MOSCOW, Sep 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is considering systemic measures to stabilize the internal prices for fuel, including adjustment of duties and taxes, Director of the oil and gas complex department Anton Rubtsov said at a meeting at the Federation Council, parliament’s upper chamber, on Friday.
“We expect decisions, they have not been finally adopted by the government. We expect systemic measures that will allow regulation in not such a regime, but to enter calmly the spring and the autumn of the next year. An option linked to the duties and the taxes is discussed,” he said.
Rubtsov also said that his ministry expects the wholesale prices for fuel to decrease and gasoline filling stations’ work to stabilize soon.
On Thursday, the government introduced a temporary ban on exports of gasoline and diesel fuel to stabilize the internal market.
